Such a great coffee. Brewing method used: French Press, but is also great using a pour-over method as well as a regular drip coffee maker.  Read the profile, then go grab yourself a bag! A full pound of this excellent coffee is only $13.95.

Rich, dark Ethiopian Yirgacheffe from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, picked by hand on a farm in the mountains high above the town of Sidamo. There, the coffee beans are washed, and then soaked up to 72 hours in fermentation tanks. This wet process method produces intensely flavorful beans, with an intensely floral aroma, and mellow, smooth taste.

Profile: Floral aroma, smooth-bodied and sweet bright flavor with pronounced lemon notes. The profile of this coffee is unique in the world and is only found in the Sidamo region, with the most intense examples originating in Yirgacheffe.

Place: Yirgacheffe, Sidamo region, south of Ethiopia’s capital Addis Ababa.

People: Ethiopia is a predominantly Christian culture. Coffee here is farmed by small landholders and the fruit is tendered to local washing stations for processing and subsequent collection by processors.

Process: Coffees from Yirgacheffe and the Sidamo region are fully washed locally, and then transported to Addis Ababa for dry milling, sorting and finishing. We roast this coffee medium light to showcase its unique character.

Pairing: Fresh oranges or grapefruit, lemon bar.
